Hello Grade 5s!
In this lesson, we are going to be exploring how Canada evolved from the relationships of Europeans and Indigenous people when Europeans first came to Canada. You will be looking at things like medicine, the fur trade, technology, and traditions, ways of knowing.
Feel free to look up these questions on Google, but first, gather information from the following websites. (just click on the word)
Technology - for this one, look under the headings "Indigenous Technologies" and "Colonization and Settlement"
For the "Influencing Each Other" section, think about how each group of people's lives changed as a result of them interacting. Were they all good things? Were they all bad?
